The ‘Jonathan’ Apple Tree is a medium-large size sweet apple with a strong touch of acid making it a wonderful cooking and juicing apple. The flesh is crisp, white and juicy. ‘Jonathan’ is a late-ripening red apple that is harvested in August. Fruit trees need a minimum of 6-8 hours of sunlight daily, and need plenty of water. They are not drought tolerant. Pollinate with Red or Yellow Delicious. Requires 800 chill hours.
