Buddleia (Butterfly Bush) davidii ‘Nanho Blue’

A must for your butterfly garden!

Enjoy a summer full of blossoms with ‘Nanho Blue’!  This summer beauty produces gorgeous mauve-blue flower clusters, similar to a lilac, from June until frost.  These lightly scented blooms are vigorous and attract butterflies and hummingbirds, inviting the wonders of nature to your own backyard.  These beautiful blossoms also make a lovely, long-lasting cut flower.  ‘Nanho Blue’ is a semi-evergreen deciduous shrub with a weeping form.  It can grow to be 6-12’ tall and spread to 4-15’.  This shrub offers a beautiful backdrop to its drooping flower clusters with long arching stems of gray-green leaves.  ‘Nanho Blue’ is an excellent addition to the landscape border, cottage garden, or create your very own butterfly garden!

It is recommended that this shrub be cut back to the ground in late winter to encourage vigorous growth with superior flowers.  In cooler zones, Buddleias die back to the ground each year, sending up a dense group of new shoots in late spring that quickly develop into a shrub.
