Liatris spicata

Liatris spicata adds a whimsical touch to the garden with tall fluffy plumes of rose-purple. This deer resistant perennial has grass-like foliage with tall spikes of charming colorful blooms. Liatris spicata attracts hummingbirds and is excellent for cut flowers due to their long sturdy stems. It prefers a hot sunny location with fast-draining soil and will tolerate drought.
