Onion, ‘Red Karmen’

Red onions are easy to grow, making them excellent for beginner gardeners! Their beautiful red hue and mild to sweet flavor make them perfect for pickling, salads, or tossing on your burgers. These onions perform best in well-drained, slightly acidic, fertile soil in full sun. For green table onions, plant the sets so they are nearly touching, and then harvest every other one when the tops reach 6” tall. Dry bulbs will be ready for harvest in August or September.
