Tulip, Holland’s Best Mix

Holland’s Best Mix Tulips are the best! Great blooms! Huge, gorgeous, multi-colored flowers that are very tall. This is a spectacular mix of large ‘Darwin Hybrid’ tulips come in red, rose, orange, yellow, and two-tone colors. The blossoms are almost perfect pyramid shaped when closed, but they can measure as much as 6″ in diameter when fully opened. The single flowers are among the tallest and most intense of the garden tulips. Great cut flower. These giants are among the most weather resistant of all garden tulips, have exceptional perennial qualities and will produce many lovely flowers year after year. We recommend fertilization twice a year to improve their perennial nature. Most popular landscape varieties because of the large cup-shaped petals and brilliant flower colors.

‘Darwin Hybrid’: These hybrids have large flowers on long, sturdy stems, with brilliant colors in all shades between red and yellow. The flower is usually closed in the morning and opens to resemble a poppy as the day goes along. These are improved larger-flowering Darwin types. Darwin hybrids usually bloom several weeks earlier than the regular Darwin types. Tulips look best in mass plantings. They make good container plants and are delightful cut flowers.
