Royal Fern is a graceful, standout perennial that brings a bold, architectural feel to shaded and moisture-rich areas of the landscape. With its elegant, divided fronds and soft texture, it thrives especially well along ponds and water features where it can enjoy consistent moisture and create a natural, serene look. Highly adaptable, Royal Fern tolerates heavy shade, making it a reliable choice for those challenging low-light garden spots. Over time, it naturalizes beautifully, spreading to form an attractive groundcover that also helps with erosion control on slopes and damp soils. Easygoing yet striking, Royal Fern adds a lush, calming presence wherever it’s planted.

Planting Instructions: Plant in the spring when the soil is workable. May be planted in any organically rich, well-drained soil. 1. Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. 2. Set the plant in place so the crown (where the root meets the stem) is level with the soil surface. 3. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly. Fertilize once a month with a balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer. Follow fertilizer package instructions.
Pests or Diseases: No serious insect or disease problems.
