Planting/Care Instructions +

Planting Instructions: 1. Before planting, soak your corms in lukewarm water for 2–3 hours. 2. Remove the plastic wrapping from the coir media disc and place the coir media disc into a large bowl. Add 2 to 2 ½ cups of warm water and allow the media to expand for 10–15 minutes. If it hasn’t fully expanded, add an additional cup of warm water and wait another 10 minutes. Once fully expanded, fluff the media. 3. Transfer the prepared media into the milk can container, leaving the top 2 inches of the container unfilled. 4. Dig holes 1-2 inches deep in the top of the media. 5. Place the corms into the holes and cover them with media. 6. Position the milk can in a location that receives 6–8 hours of sunlight daily. After the danger of frost has passed, the container can be moved outdoors. 7. Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not wet. Avoid overwatering. Once foliage begins to show, apply a slow-release fertilizer once a month. Follow the instructions on the package. Remove faded blooms.
